Job summary

Orange EV is seeking a Quality Engineer to own both supplier and customer quality across the product lifecycle. You will lead supplier quality activities, perform root-cause analyses, and work with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service to drive improvements.

You will investigate field issues, lead 8D actions, analyze warranty data, and maintain the QMS. Some travel to supplier and customer sites is required as part of cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in quality engineering with supplier and customer/field focus.
• Proficient in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D and control plans.
• Experience with supplier audits and corrective actions.
• Strong analytical skills using SPC and other quality tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities including incoming inspection oversight and supplier audits.
• Drive SCARs and root-cause analysis for supplier nonconformances.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to qualify new suppliers and monitor performance.
• Review control plans and FMEAs to support supplier development.
• Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues with Service and Engineering.
• Lead 8D for field/warranty issues and verify corrective action effectiveness.
• Analyze warranty data to identify trends and report to leadership.
• Maintain and improve the QMS and related documentation.
• Support internal audits and Lean/Six Sigma improvements.
• Apply SPC and Cpk/Ppk to monitor process and product performance.
• Track KPIs such as supplier/customer PPM and warranty rate.
