Orange EV LLC in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Quality Engineer to own quality outcomes across the product lifecycle, partnering with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Service to keep defects out of parts and quickly resolve field issues.

You will lead supplier quality activities, drive SCARs, review control plans and FMEAs, perform root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why), and apply SPC and other quality tools to improve supplier and product performance, with occasional travel.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in quality engineering including supplier and customer/field work.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, and control plans.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and corrective actions.
• Experience with warranty/field data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with SPC/Cpk/Ppk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work across teams.
• Occasional travel to supplier and customer sites.

Mansioni

• Lead supplier quality activities including inspections, audits, and PPAP/APQP.
• Drive SCARs and root cause analysis for supplier nonconformances.
• Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and quality trends.
• Review control plans and FMEAs; support supplier development.
• Investigate and resolve customer quality issues with Service and Engineering.
• Lead 8D for field and warranty issues; verify effectiveness.
• Analyze warranty/field data to identify trends.
• Maintain QMS and related documentation; support audits and Lean Six Sigma.
• Apply SPC to monitor process and product performance.
• Track and report quality KPIs.
