Job summary

PEG Staffing & Recruiting seeks a Quality Engineer Supervisor for a Columbus, Mississippi manufacturing site. This direct-hire role leads quality systems and reports to the Quality Manager.

You will develop and improve quality processes, manage APQP/PPAP/FAI, SPC/MSA, audits, and interface with customers and suppliers. Requires 4–5+ years in quality, Lean/Six Sigma, and ISO 9001:2015 knowledge. On-site role with strong upward mobility.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of quality/continuous improvement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, FAI, capability studies.
• SPC & MSA methodologies; root cause analysis (8D or similar tools).
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; Lead Auditor training is a plus.
• Experience with ERP and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience with metals (steel, aluminum, stainless) is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems and processes.
• Design and evaluate QA sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques.
• Create and manage quality KPIs, ensuring follow-through on improvement initiatives.
• Lead and support corrective and preventive actions using a data-driven approach.
• Manage APQP processes for new product launches (PPAPs, FAI, capability studies).
• Participate in MRB activities and collaborate across multiple divisions.
• Conduct internal and external audits (customer, ISO, etc.) and drive corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specs, and standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Maintain calibration systems and ensure compliance with QMS standards.

Location: Columbus, Mississippi (on-site)

Compensation: $95,000–$120,000 base

What You’ll Do
