Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality systems, continuous improvement, and customer quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This position will play a key role in ensuring quality standards are consistently implemented across plant operations while driving improvements in product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction.
The Quality Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, suppliers, and customers to manage corrective actions, support new product launches, maintain ISO compliance, and strengthen overall quality performance.
This position is 100% On-Site, 5 days a week.
What You’ll Own:
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), including responses, effectiveness reviews, and audits.
- Support overall ISO implementation and compliance, including MSA, APQP, SPC, PPAP, and FMEA.
- Maintain and improve quality procedures, documentation, records, document control, and performance measurement systems.
- Lead internal quality audits and support customer and external audits.
- Manage calibration and mistake-proofing controls.
- Maintain process-control databases, records, and improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership for ongoing quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead or support Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze quality trends, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to products, processes, and quality systems.
- Maintain Cost of Quality tracking and provide accurate, timely quality-performance reporting to management.
- Develop and maintain supplier and customer quality scorecards.
- Manage corrective-action tracking related to supplier and customer performance.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding quality requirements, concerns, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with customers and internal teams to support commercial development and business continuity.
New Product & Process Quality
- Support product launches and quality-related program management for new product development.
- Coordinate material samples, testing, and data analysis.
- Maintain laboratory functions and testing equipment.
- Ensure quality requirements are incorporated into new and modified manufacturing processes.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure quality, safety, training, communication, housekeeping, and operational performance expectations are met.
- Provide recommendations to plant leadership regarding quality-system, product, and process improvements.
- Support the development and maintenance of a qualified team capable of meeting departmental and plant objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of related quality/manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Hands-on experience with quality engineering methods and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of ISO, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience developing and documenting procedures and quality systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to operate testing equipment, perform laboratory testing, and analyze results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Engineering, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
- Intermediate computer and mathematical skills.

Additional Requirements:
This position operates in a manufacturing environment that may include hot and cold conditions and extended periods of standing or sitting. Candidates must be able to move up to 50 lbs. of material and work schedules aligned with production needs.
- Compensation: Up to $65,000
- Vacation: 50 hours to start, increasing to 120 hours on January 1, 2027
- PTO: 10 hours to start, increasing to 24 hours on January 1, 2027
- Floating Holiday: 8 hours annually
- Retention Bonus: $500 after 3 months of employment
