Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or related field (required).
• 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Work effectively within a team with clear and effective communication.
• Provide metallurgical and technical support for product and process improvement via data analysis and problem solving.
• Monitor product and process variability and performance to standards.
• Meet with customer representatives to provide solutions to quality issues and warranty resolutions.
• Recommend new technology to satisfy changing customer demands.
• Participate in material flow management through disposition of distressed material per standards.
• Participate in order design and entry systems — approving inquiries, setting capabilities, and product trials.
• Provide technical solutions to internal and external customers by understanding manufacturing and product capability.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and other technical resources to drive results.
• Communicate with upstream and downstream operations and contractors to coordinate work and deliveries.
• Provide additional duties as needed to support the business.
