Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Cleveland Works facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The role collaborates with operations, engineering, maintenance, laboratories, and other technical teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer specs.

The ideal candidate has a background in metallurgy, materials science, or steel manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead improvement projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn quality systems.

Responsabilidades

• Support a safe, environmentally responsible workplace by complying with standards and improving initiatives.
• Investigate quality concerns, reduce defects, implement corrective actions.
• Analyze manufacturing and testing data to verify product conformance and process capability.
• Provide technical support to operations, inspectors, laboratories, and customers.
• Lead trials and improvement projects focused on product development, process optimization, quality, yield, and cost.
• Maintain quality procedures, technical documentation, and process controls.
• Other duties as assigned.
