Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science or equivalent.
• Six years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of metallurgical principles and steel defect origins.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Drive quality metrics with multifunctional teams to improve quality.
• Provide metallurgical support for product development and defect reduction.
• Assist in corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
• Regularly communicate customer problems to management and workforce.
• Disposition off-chemistry slabs for prime orders per specifications.
• Support field sales in resolving major quality issues.
