Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Quality Lead for a key ADP Skunk Works Program to drive quality across multiple business units and align with program management, design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

The role requires leading quality teams, interfacing with USAF/government customers, developing inspection methods, and ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards; extensive aerospace program experience and RCCA are essential.

Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. This position is a Quality Lead for a key ADP Skunk Works Program what will integrate across multiple Business Units and drive the team to meet a wide variety of requirements working tightly with the Program Management Team, Integration with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, Supply Chain Management and Information Technology, and the various Quality organization members will be required to ensure a successful program outcome.

Basic Qualifications
  • Broad experience working several aerospace program development cycles on multiple aerospace programs including classified programs
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 10 years or more of professional experience
  • Expert level RCCA knowledge and demonstrated ability to engage product and process errors with successful corrective actions.
  • Experience leading quality teams in various assignments with an emphasis on new or legacy programs
  • Experience working with USAF and or Government Customers and DCMA in a lead quality role
  • Serves as quality organization spokesperson on advanced programs. Acts as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
  • Broad experience working with suppliers thru the development process and production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization to lead quality effort and communicate across multi-functional stakeholders
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience developing inspection/verification methods, work instructions, and procedures for manufactured and/or supplier-provided products with an emphasis on new programs
  • Prior product design, manufacturing planning, quality engineering/assurance, inspection, and test and/or supply chain management experience
Desired Skills
  • Prior product design, manufacturing planning, industrial automation, quality engineering/assurance, and/or supply chain management experience
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with suppliers, customers, engineering, program leadership, and senior management
  • Prior experience mentor other quality engineers / inspectors and supporting continuous improvement efforts
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple complex assignments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to travel to supplier locations if required
  • Working knowledge and practical application of Quality Management System requirements such as AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
  • Green Belt / Black belt / other formal continuous improvement training or certification
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00
