Job summary

Acushnet Company in New Bedford, MA, seeks a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and continuous improvement across Custom Ball and Packaging Operations.

You will drive defect reduction, apply SPC, partner with manufacturing, engineering and cross-functional teams, lead root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and help sustain Lean and Six Sigma initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; CQE/ASQ certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing quality or QA/quality engineering.
• Experience with SPC and sampling plans.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement teams.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Drive quality improvements, reduce process variation, and meet customer/internal quality standards.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, engineering and cross-functional teams to reduce defects and returns.
• Analyze and report quality data; use SPC and QMS tools.
• Lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions; support Change Notices and audits.
