Job summary

Rotork is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Department at our facility in the United States. You will drive product quality and internal processes, partner with operations, and implement effective corrective actions.

You will lead root cause analysis, CAPA, supplier qualification, and audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance, while creating quality metrics and robust procedures. This role demands cross-functional collaboration and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quality, Engineering or manufacturing or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Ideally 5 years’ minimum of relevant experience in a mixed volume, assembly environment.
• Excellent problem solving techniques – CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys desirable.
• In depth understanding of the manufacturing process within a component and assembly environment.
• Experienced in Supplier Management and Driving improvements within the supply chain.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong ability in reading and interpreting complex drawings/blueprints to understand parameters of components/products.
• Familiarity with basic GD&T.
• Knowledgeable in the use of inspection and test equipment including, but not limited to micrometres, callipers, dial indicators, height gages, gage pins, gage blocks, and thread gages.
• Knowledgeable about current quality system standards such as ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of effective corrective actions through robust root cause analysis and facilitation with process owners.
• Provide support to manufacturing to develop effective procedures/work instructions that meet ISO9001.
• Customer Concern/Complaints/Query: become involved in root cause identification and actions.
• Supplier Management: approve suppliers and improve the quality of externally supplied parts.
• Root Cause, Corrective & Preventative Actions: problem solving with process owners to drive improvements.
• Creating Quality Awareness: create visual quality metrics and communicate to the business.
• Quality Management System: support procedures/work instructions meeting ISO9001 and standards.
• Process Audits: assist in development of process audit plan and execution.
• Internal Audit: review the business to ensure methodologies are followed.
• Cost of Quality: implement methodologies for cost of quality.
