Job summary

Pugetsoundcoatings is seeking a Quality Engineer in Seattle, WA to develop and manage nonconformance and corrective action programs. You will work with production, engineering, and customer service to identify root causes and implement durable improvements.

The role requires a strong background in root-cause analysis, CAPA methodologies, and experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 environments. Excel and MS Office skills are essential, with a hands-on, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with nonconformance and corrective action processes.
• Root-cause analysis and problem solving experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and customer requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with quality management systems (AS9100 / ISO 9001).
• Experience with 8D, RCCA, CAPA methodologies.
• Experience with statistical tools and quality dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage nonconformance and corrective action programs.
• Serve as primary contact for quality issues from internal operations and customers.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Monitor effectiveness and prevent recurrence of issues.
• Support continuous improvement of quality, inspection, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
