Job summary

Kennametal is seeking a Quality Engineer in Orwell, OH to support the Quality Management System across assigned areas. You will drive containment, corrective actions, and data-driven improvements to meet customer expectations and business goals.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production, conduct root-cause analyses, participate in audits, and help advance PPAP, FMEA, and ISO requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Experience with SAP and measurement devices (MSA).
• Able to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proficient in creating process documents and auditing to requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quality improvement efforts for targeted metrics with cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Analyze product and process data to support improvements.
• Determine when stability and capability studies are needed and follow up.
• Disposit ion non-conforming products and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Production to resolve customer complaints.
• Support updating, auditing, and maintaining the ISO QMS; participate in internal audits and LPAs.
• Develop and lead FMEA and PPAP efforts for product/process changes.
• Utilize core tools (RCA, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, DOE).
• Basic ERP knowledge, SAP proficiency.
