Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for its Monroe, LA facility to strengthen quality performance across operations and supplier interfaces. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• ,
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience applying root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies to investigate and resolve manufacturing or product quality issues.
• 2+ years of experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system, including internal audits, corrective actions, or quality system compliance activities.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing manufacturing or quality data to identify trends, process issues, or improvement opportunities and communicating findings and recommended actions to manufacturing, engineering, or operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of customer complaints, warranty issues, and internal nonconformances using structured problem solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and PFMEA, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Support and continuously improve the site’s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable company quality standards.
• Conduct internal process audits, support customer and certification audits, and drive timely resolution of findings.
• Analyze quality, manufacturing, inspection, and warranty data to identify trends, reduce defects, minimize scrap and rework, and improve operational performance.
• Develop and maintain quality planning and validation documentation, including PPAPs, Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Measurement System Analyses (MSA), and Process Capability Studies.
• Support process validation and qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols where applicable.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop process controls, improve product quality, and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Provide quality related training and guidance, promote continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in Kaizen and operational excellence activities.
