Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure stable, capable production processes through preventive quality, structured problem solving, and robust governance of QBD, NC handling, and digital quality systems. The role drives CoPQ reduction, supports NPI, qualifications, and continuous improvement across the value chain.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, process engineering, or similar roles.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred; Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and structured problem solving (8D/DMAIC).
Ability to analyze product and process data using databases, spreadsheets, and analytical tools.
Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
High adaptability, learning agility, and commitment to quality excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead preventive quality & process controls including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and containment gates.
Maintain PFMEA and Control Plans reflecting risks, mitigations, and capability.
Lead rapid containment for NCs and govern QBD levels 1–2.
Perform 8D, Six Sigma, and 5-Why root cause analyses; define corrective actions.
Coach operators; promote quality behaviors and CI/Kaizen activities.
Integrate digital quality tools into QMS and ensure data readiness for decisions.
Support NPI, qualifications & change management with Engineering and Production.
