Job summary

Vantage Point Recruiting is seeking a Quality Engineer to work closely with production and engineering management to develop, maintain, and implement quality standards that meet customer and internal requirements. You will partner with stakeholders across the product lifecycle to support investigations and drive risk mitigation, aiming to improve product and process quality.

The role emphasizes data-driven quality tools, supplier and customer collaboration, and involvement in Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/materials engineering or closely related.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Familiarity with SPC and GD&T.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers.
• Leadership experience in issue resolution.
• Strong presentation skills.
• QA practices and procedures expertise.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and TQM principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the quality team liaison to assigned customers and coordinate data distribution.
• Coordinate supplier quality requirements and assist in vendor qualification.
• Develop systems to meet customer quality requirements including regulatory and validation systems.
• Support quality activities across Contracts & Proposal processes.
• Apply RCCA, PFMEAs, SPC, MQP, and APQP as needed.
• Ensure sampling, QC checks, and traceability across the value stream.
• Advise on capital expenditures to enhance quality of products and processes.
• Utilize data to monitor product/process health and quality systems.
• Train inspectors on QA best practices.
