Vogt Power International is hiring a Quality Engineer in Louisville, KY to oversee all quality control aspects for a Vogt Power project, including client specifications, subcontractor QC, welding procedures, and ITP development.

The role requires ASME knowledge, QC experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate data packages and audits. Travel may be required, including international assignments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required; welding/metallurgy focus preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME Section I, VIII, B31.1, AISC Codes and AWD D1.1.
• Experience in quality control activities and lead auditor capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey project quality requirements.
• Proficient computer skills with Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Visio or equivalents.
• Understanding of materials including carbon steels, low alloy steels, 9Cr and duplex stainless steels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; CWI credentials or pursuit.
• Position based in Louisville, KY.

Aufgaben

• Review customer specifications during proposals and resolve exceptions with customers.
• Coordinate project quality planning and include special manufacturing or QC requirements.
• Identify subcontractor and vendor quality requirements and ensure complete documentation.
• Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation and inspections.
• Develop ASME Code Data Packages and assist in audits or surveillance at subcontractors.
• Support subcontract managers in resolving manufacturing or QC issues; assist in data package submissions.
• Travel may be required, including international assignments.
