Job summary

A Part of Something Bigger is seeking a Quality Engineer or Sr. Quality Engineer to join a tenured team in the Minneapolis area.

The role involves developing quality standards and metrics in collaboration with operations, manufacturing, and product engineering, along with supplier and customer interactions to resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years in quality within manufacturing, strong math skills, and proficient MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., quality, engineering, business, information systems, data management).
• 5 years of experience in a quality position within a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mathematical background to compile statistical data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge is preferred and Microsoft Office proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality standards, specifications, and metrics with operations, manufacturing, product engineering, suppliers, and customers.
• Act as primary liaison between customers or suppliers on quality issues and perform inspection tasks as needed.
• Visit suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and metrics and verify supplier quality systems on the production floor.
