A Part of Something Bigger is seeking a Quality Engineer or Sr. Quality Engineer to join a tenured team near the greater Minneapolis, MN area.

The role emphasizes developing quality standards, auditing suppliers, and collaborating with operations, manufacturing, and product engineering to ensure top-tier quality across the supply chain. The successful candidate will lead quality initiatives, perform supplier and customer-facing quality activities, and contribute to continuous improvement through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., quality, engineering, business, information systems, data management).
• 5 years of experience in a Quality position within a manufacturing environment and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mathematical background to compile statistical data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop quality standards, specifications, and metrics that can be economically maintained to ensure product acceptability.
• Act as liaison between customers or suppliers on quality-related issues and perform inspection tasks.
• Visit suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and metrics; verify supplier quality systems and conduct supplier quality audits.
• Ensure accuracy of quality documentation, including hold tags, inspection reports, data collection, supplier inspection reports, and test reports.
• Compile and present technical documentation for target audiences and monitor conformance to standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving to identify root cause and implement corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues.
