Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Minneapolis seeks a Quality Engineer or Sr. Quality Engineer to join a tenured team.

You will develop quality standards, work with operations, manufacturing, product engineering, suppliers and customers, and lead cross-functional problem-solving to determine root causes and corrective actions. The role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of quality experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field (quality, engineering, business, information systems, data management).
• 5 years of experience in a Quality position within a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality standards, specifications, and metrics with ops, manufacturing, product engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Act as primary liaison on quality issues with customers or suppliers; perform inspections in emergencies or absences.
• Visit suppliers/customers routinely to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality audits and metrics; verify supplier quality systems on the production floor.
• Ensure accuracy of quality documentation (hold tags, inspection reports, data, supplier inspection reports, test reports).
• Prepare technical documentation for target audiences and monitor conformance to standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams to establish root cause and corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues.
