Job summary

Hollingsworth & Vose, a leading filtration and energy storage materials company, seeks a Quality Engineer in Massachusetts to support QA/QC programs and drive process improvements. You will apply Six Sigma, Lean methods, and statistical analysis to reduce variation, waste, and costs while enhancing product quality and safety across mill operations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Paper Science, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Black belt certification or willingness to certify within 3 years in role.
• Strong papermaking background and quality systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Support unit operations studies and optimization across papermaking processes.
• Facilitate 8D root cause analysis and corrective actions with cross functional teams.
• Lead Material Review Board, deviation review, and CAPA implementation.
• Develop PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs, and response plans to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Audit internal systems, processes, and products; participate in external audits.
• Perform MS Excel/Minitab data analysis for complaints, improvements, trials, and deviations.
• Maintain lab equipment and document control to ensure readiness.
• Support PPAP processes and new product development with statistical methods.
