Job summary

Electrolux Group in Springfield, TN, seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and support quality operations across a defined area, training staff, leading safety and quality goals, and coordinating QCP/IPCP and usability improvements.

You will lead PPAP/QCP/IPCP activities, apply EMS and PDCA for continuous improvement, and communicate quality issues with cross-functional teams. A BS in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing QA are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting and improving quality operations within manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, quality management, and data analysis to drive operational excellence.
• Proven expertise applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint, with strong technical, analytical, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement in-process quality controls, error-proofing measures, and process reliability improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Lead quality planning activities, including PPAP development, Quality Control Plans (QCPs), In-Process Control Plans (IPCPs), verification gauges, fixtures, and visual management tools.
• Partner daily with operations leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives using EMS principles and the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology.
• Apply structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making techniques to identify root causes, improve processes, and resolve quality issues.
• Monitor quality performance, investigate internal and supplier-related concerns, analyze data, and communicate findings while escalating critical issues as needed.
• Ensure operational readiness by maintaining equipment availability, supporting employees with necessary resources, and preparing work areas for subsequent shifts.
• Foster a collaborative and engaged workforce by promoting open communication, strengthening teamwork, managing hold orders efficiently, and supporting overall quality and operational excellence.
