Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and program performance for make and/or buy products.

The role includes collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers; conducting product failure investigations; driving CAPA actions; and developing strategies to improve supplier and internal performance.

Qualifications

  • STEM degree at bachelor level or higher, preferably in Quality Assurance or related field.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
  • Experience developing methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection of manufactured products.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and inspection methods (mechanical/electrical).
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and contracts for QE processes and metrics.
  • Experience using root-cause analysis tools to resolve technical issues.
  • Experience dispositioning non-conforming products.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and configuration/data management.
  • Ability to travel 25–50%

Basic Qualifications
  • STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/education
  • Must be able obtain a Secret level security clearance
  • Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products
  • An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
  • Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
  • Experience in dispositioning of non-conforming products
  • Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
  • Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills
  • Customer Relationship Management skills
  • Experience working with Government customers
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
