Timken in the United States (Tennessee) seeks a Quality Systems professional to manage documentation, control of procedures, and customer specification alignment. You will lead internal audits, maintain PFMEAs, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
This role supports North America Rail Quality and Operations, requiring collaboration across functional teams, training QA personnel, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
Manage quality system documentation such as development of standard operating and setup work instructions, preventive maintenance tasks and schedules, and updates to documents that are required. Manage the handling of customer complaints and determine the corrective action needed to eliminate the cause of nonconformity and application of controls to ensure that corrective action is taken and that it is effective. Assist with TQMS implementation and manage the Error Proofing Verification (EPV) program. Lead the internal quality system audit program and the development of PFMEAs for manufacturing processes.
Critical role to support North America Rail Quality and Operations with quality system improvement and maintenance activities.
Requires lifting, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, pushing, visual acuity and hearing.
Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years related position experience in quality system work is required. Experience in manufacturing experience and proficiency with Excel also preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, work well in a team atmosphere, have a strong bias for action, good project management skills, and detailed oriented.
Candidate shall successfully complete training program and as applicable, qualification requirements, as defined by the responsible functional manager. New hires shall demonstrate satisfactory performance during new hire probationary period. All training is completed on-the-job.
