Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Mansfield, OH is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide expertise in planning and executing technical process projects, perform metallographic testing, and disposition material to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy or materials science required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a hot, dusty industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to resolve process issues and ensure product quality.
• Conduct metallographic testing and disposition materials to meet specs.
• Develop and execute technical process projects with cost considerations.
• Support continuous improvement and quality systems, including CAR/PMCAR/PCE.
• Communicate effectively with Operations and Maintenance regarding quality and safety.
