Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the Quality Management System development and implement ISO-aligned processes in our North Carolina facility.

You will analyze data, perform CAPA using DMAIC and 8D/5Why, participate in supplier audits, and drive continuous improvement in inspection and testing while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Major
• Basic knowledge of quality systems including statistics, reliability, sampling, and auditing
• 1–2 years preferred in Quality Engineering or Technical Discipline
• Manufacturing environment experience
• Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems standards a plus
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification a plus
• Lean implementation in production, warehousing and distribution a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal
• Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task; high degree of efficiency and accuracy
• Travel 10%

Responsibilities

• Quality Management System development and implementation aligned with ISO standards
• Determine quality improvement parameters using statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
• Enhance QA receiving inspection process and procedures with statistical confidence
• Analyze data with hypothesis testing, normal distribution, and process capability analyses
• Develop sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential sampling
• Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA using DMAIC and 8D/5Why tools
• Analyze failures and implement corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints
• Continuously improve QA receiving inspection processes
• Assist supplier audits and address supplier performance issues
• Prepare QA reports

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Quality Management System inclusive of process and procedure development/implementation that aligns with ISO standards
• Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.

• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions
• Assist suppliers' performance and conduct audits.
• Preparation of QA reports.
