Job summary

We seek a Quality Engineer to own the Quality Management System, apply statistical methods, develop sampling plans, perform CAPA using DMAIC and 8D/5Why, and drive supplier quality improvements. You will analyze data, prepare QA reports, and support a high-standards manufacturing environment in Huntersville, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Major; Master's Degree a plus.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems (statistics, reliability, sampling, auditing).
• 1-2 years in Quality Engineering or Technical Discipline.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• ISO Quality Management Systems knowledge a plus.
• Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
• Lean implementation in production, warehousing and distribution a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Management System and processes aligned with ISO standards.
• Determine quality improvement parameters using relevant statistical methods.
• Enhance QA receiving inspection with sampling plans and confidence levels.
• Analyze data with hypothesis tests, distribution analysis and process capability.
• Develop sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential approaches.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA using DMAIC and 8D/5Why tools.
• Address supplier quality issues and perform audits.
• Prepare QA reports and ensure timely actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Quality Management System inclusive of process and procedure development/implementation that aligns with ISO standards
• Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Enhance quality inspection process utilizing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence
• Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
• Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling
• Root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA for quality improvement related concerns utilizing DMAIC methodology and 8D/5Why tools.
• Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
• Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions
• Assist suppliers' performance and conduct audits.
• Preparation of QA reports.

REQUIREMENTS:
