Job summary

Saft is seeking a Quality Engineer to support QA and cross‑functional teams in monitoring and improving process and product quality. The role supports the Saft World Class initiative and requires a degree in engineering with manufacturing experience.

The candidate should have ISO 9001/AS9100 background, RCCA tool proficiency, GD&T knowledge, and a track record in supplier management and continuous improvement. US citizenship or green card is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 3+ years in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus.
• Experience in ISO-9001/AS9100 environments; familiarity with AS9100-D internal auditing preferred.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and RCCA tools like 8D/5-Why/PFMEA.
• Knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and statistical process capability analysis.
• Strong documentation, record-keeping, and cross-department communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality engineering support to all departments including engineering, operations, and program management.
• Identify, analyze and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and supplier relationships.
• Support customer/supplier communications on quality issues and ensure process specifications meet requirements.
• Participate in change order reviews and train inspectors, coordinators, and operators.
• Utilize RCCA tools to determine root causes of defects and drive corrective actions.
