EMD Electronics seeks a Quality Engineer to raise materials quality for global semiconductor customers. You will identify opportunities, lead cross-functional Lean/Six Sigma projects, and implement sustainable process changes to reduce defects and variation.

Partner with the Site Quality Manager to embed a culture of continuous improvement using data, process controls, and automation. You will drive investigations, manage teams, and ensure quality gains are measurable and lasting across sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or similar technical discipline, with 5+ years of quality/CI experience in manufacturing.
• OR Master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of quality/CI experience in a semiconductor or chemical production environment.

Responsabilités

• Set improvement goals with the Site Quality Manager and maintain/advance quality performance.
• Translate customer feedback into improvement priorities for the site.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects, variation, and cost of poor quality.
• Use process control tools (e.g., SPC) and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and confirm sustainment.
• Lead root-cause investigations using 5-Whys, segmentation, and Model Based Problem Solving; drive corrective actions.
