Job summary

Alliance Compressors LLC in Natchitoches, LA is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives at the Copeland facility. You will use lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation, support ISO 9001:2015 quality management, and drive improvements in assembly quality.

You will investigate internal quality issues, manage warranty and returns, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mfg/Production Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and auditing.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality tools.
• Root cause analysis expertise (5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for internal quality issues.
• Participate in Lean daily management meetings (Tier 3/4).
• Develop and maintain product and process verification methods.
• Conduct quality audits and train personnel on audit procedures.
• Coach auditors on quality standards.
• Monitor key quality metrics such as internal PPM and scrap.
• Support customer complaints through containment and corrective actions.
• Participate in product teardown and failure analysis activities.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans and PFMEAs.
• Identify trends in quality data and support Lean initiatives.
• Work with CMM equipment, GD&T requirements, and engineering standards.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
