Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline with 5 years of quality experience.
• ASQ certifications (CQA/CQE/CSSGB) are desirable.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Handles major projects; participates in high-level cross-functional teams.
• Develops inspection and testing processes and procedures.
• Writes, edits, reviews and approves quality controlled documents.
• Applies strategic decision-making to identify performance gaps and set goals.
• Plans and conducts benchmarking and applies lessons learned.
• Performs reliability analyses such as MTBF and FMEAs.
• Participates in advanced quality planning (FMEA, QFD, DOE).
• Interfaces with sales, engineering, customers, and suppliers.
• Provides input to contract reviews and diagnostic research.
• Analyzes data, identifies trends, and suggests corrective actions.
• Analyzes complex process problems and develops alternative solutions.
• Acts as Lead Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor for supplier audits.
• Interfaces between design engineering, mechanical engineering, and purchasing.
• May prepare budgets and integrates quality tools with lean methodologies.
• Presents information effectively at all levels of the company.
