Job summary

Hultec is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer in Houston, TX to own QA/QC within our rubber seal manufacturing operation. You will support ISO 9001 QMS, collaborate with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain, and directly manage a team of 7 including 2 inspectors and 5 trimmers.

The role requires 3–5 years of manufacturing QA experience, familiarity with APQP/PPAP, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Hands-on with ISO 9001 QMS.
• Proficient in FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans, 8D, DMAIC, Pareto.
• Experience with metrology/inspection equipment.
• Ability to read GD&T and engineering drawings.
• APQP/PPAP knowledge.
• MS Office; Minitab or similar.
• Spanish language proficiency; travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and develop a team of 7 inspectors and trimmers.
• Oversee daily inspection and trimming of finished parts.
• Coach, train, and manage workload to meet targets.
• Maintain ISO 9001 procedures and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and customer assessments.
• Develop inspection plans and sampling procedures.
• Evaluate supplier quality and qualification activities.
• Lead CAPA using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and procurement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
