Job summary

VYBOND SPECIALTY ADHESIVES LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead and improve quality systems across manufacturing. You will monitor all phases of the quality process, using statistical methods to drive improvements and satisfy customer requirements.

The role requires strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and a hands-on approach to data analysis, problem solving, and process control in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a related role.
• ISO9001 / IATF16949 familiarity or training preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications; JD Edwards; MS Project or Smartsheet knowledge preferred.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours if needed.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are in place for manufacturing, labeling, testing, dispositioning and shipping per ISO 9001 / IATF16949.
• Support plant and company quality objectives for continuous improvement, new product development, and metrics tracking.
• Own issues from raw materials through finished product, including customer complaints.
• Ensure internal specifications meet customer, regulatory, external specifications, and company requirements.
• Act as a customer representative for assigned areas.
• Support EHS policies and Operations Excellence initiatives (Six Sigma, Lean).
• Build effective relationships with assigned customers.
• Verify process capabilities meet internal specs for Automotive, Aerospace, Nuclear, etc.
• Maintain document control and coordinate with the ISO team.
• Lead data analysis and process control; oversee QA data collection and FEMA sessions.
• Oversee product release, documentation and testing for customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate investigation of non-conforming product and implement corrective actions.
• Provide quality training and communicate standards across the business.
• Identify cost-saving improvement projects and monitor effectiveness.
• Understand test methods and equipment and conduct studies for process/product improvements.
