Job summary

MCC in Spring Mill, PA, is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and implement procedures that sustain and continually improve product and process quality. You will lead ISO and Food Safety audits, maintain documentation, investigate non-conformances for root cause and corrective actions, and serve as SME for the quality data collection system.

The role requires strong analytics, problem-solving skills, and experience with HACCP, GMPs, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Practice Problem Solving tools (FMEA, 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, Pareto, DOE).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong math and statistical skills.
• Experience with HACCP and GMPs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and data driven.
• Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Familiarity with ISO documentation formats and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an ISO and/or Food Safety auditor at a local plant level and other facilities.
• Maintain ISO and FSSC documentation at the plant level.
• Interact with process owners and Senior Management to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Analyze color evaluations, graphics, aesthetics, and run-ability parameters.
• Act as SME for the quality data collection system.
• Proficient with the company Quality Module and roll tracing in the business system.
• Prepare customer COAs and data collections when required by customers.
• Train new Quality staff or retrain current employees on gauges and measurement equipment.
• Provide back-up support to the Quality Manager and assist Quality Technicians.
• Contribute to ongoing quality initiatives and food safety practices.
• Ensure that Food Safety Policies and practices are followed.
