Job summary

Medline offers a 10-week summer internship across its corporate offices, including social events, leadership presentations, and community activities. The Quality Engineer Intern will manage projects related to product quality, CAPA, risk analysis, and documentation for the Master Device Record.

Responsibilities

  • The Quality Engineer Intern position will entail managing multiple projects related to product quality (Design Files, Risk Analysis, CAPA process, 510k data collection, product testing).
  • Creating documentation for the Master Device Record and related quality files.
  • Supporting CAPAs, SCARs, supplier maintenance, risk analysis, and more.

Our internships span a variety of business areas and are open to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Designed to support both personal and professional growth, the 10‑week summer program runs from early June through mid‑August in one of our four corporate offices in the Chicagoland area.

The Quality Engineer Intern position will entail managing multiple projects related to product quality; i.e. Design Files, Risk Analysis, CAPA process, 510k data collection, product testing, creating documentation for the Master Device Record, etc.

Possible projects could include:
  • Developing test plans to evaluate new and existing products
  • Authoring Device Master Records, Design Controls, protocols, reports, and other critical Quality documentation
  • Investigating customer/sales force complaints and assuring files are addressed and closed on time
  • Engaging in process improvement activities related to product quality and regulatory compliance
  • Contributing to product design and development, including generation of documentation required for submission to the FDA
  • Supporting CAPA’s, SCAR’s, supplier maintenance, risk analysis, and more!

The anticipated salary range for this position: $23.25 - $33.75 Hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
