Job summary

Medline Industries, LP offers a 10-week summer Internship for aspiring Quality Engineers, based in the Chicagoland area. Interns will manage projects related to product quality, from design controls to testing, and will gain hands-on experience in a large healthcare company.

Ideal candidates are rising seniors in engineering or science programs with a 3.0+ GPA, strong documentation skills, and an autonomous, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Science majors preferred.
• 3.0 minimum GPA preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Motivated self-starter with good documentation skills.
• Design project experience preferred.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects related to product quality (Design Files, Risk Analysis, CAPA).
• Create documentation for the Master Device Record and other QA records.
• Support CAPA, SCARs, risk analysis, and data collection for 510(k) submissions.
• Contribute to product design and development documentation and testing.

Our internships span a variety of business areas and are open to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Designed to support both personal and professional growth, the 10-week summer program runs from early June through mid-August in one of our four corporate offices in the Chicagoland area.

The Quality Engineer Intern position will entail managing multiple projects related to product quality; i.e. Design Files, Risk Analysis., CAPA process, 510k data collection, product testing, creating documentation for the Master Device Record, etc. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and hard-working professional looking for hands on experience at a large healthcare company.

Possible projects could include:

• Developing test plans to evaluate new and existing products
• Authoring Device Master Records, Design Controls, protocols, reports, and other critical Quality documentation
• Investigating customer/sales force complaints and assuring files are addressed and closed on time
• Engaging in process improvement activities related to product quality and regulatory compliance
• Contributing to product design and development, including generation of documentation required for submission to the FDA
• Supporting CAPA’s, SCAR’s, supplier maintenance, risk analysis, and more!

Qualifications:

• Engineering or Science related majors preferred
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
• Detail oriented with superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Motivated self-starter
• Good documentation skills and an attention to detail
• Design project experience
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$23.25 - $33.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
