Job summary

Medline Industries, LP offers a 10-week summer internship in the Chicagoland area. The Quality Engineer Intern will manage multiple projects related to product quality, design files, CAPA, 510k data collection, product testing, and documentation creation for the Master Device Record.

Open to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Engineering or Science majors preferred, with a 3.0 GPA, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred.
• Detail oriented with organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple projects related to product quality (Design Files, Risk Analysis, CAPA).
• Creating documentation for the Master Device Record and FDA submissions.
• Developing test plans to evaluate products.
• Engaging in process improvement related to product quality and regulatory compliance.

Our internships span a variety of business areas and are open to rising seniors in undergraduate programs. Designed to support both personal and professional growth, the 10‑week summer program runs from early June through mid‑August in one of our four corporate offices in the Chicagoland area.

The Quality Engineer Intern position will entail managing multiple projects related to product quality; i.e. Design Files, Risk Analysis., CAPA process, 510k data collection, product testing, creating documentation for the Master Device Record, etc. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and hard‑working professional looking for hands on experience at a large healthcare company.

Possible projects could include:

• Developing test plans to evaluate new and existing products
• Authoring Device Master Records, Design Controls, protocols, reports, and other critical Quality documentation
• Investigating customer/sales force complaints and assuring files are addressed and closed on time
• Engaging in process improvement activities related to product quality and regulatory compliance
• Contributing to product design and development, including generation of documentation required for submission to the FDA
• Supporting CAPA's, SCAR's, supplier maintenance, risk analysis, and more!

Qualifications:

• Engineering or Science related majors preferred
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
• Detail oriented with superior organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Motivated self‑starter
• Good documentation skills and an attention to detail
• Design project experience
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$23.25 - $33.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
