Charter Manufacturing in Shawano, WI invites a motivated intern to join the Quality Engineering team this summer. You’ll gain hands-on experience with quality management systems, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and documentation control while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

This paid internship features mentorship, project work, and opportunities to develop skills in gauges, problem solving, ISO requirements, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1+ year in quality control; ASQ CQE is a plus or equivalent certification.
• Experience leading problem-solving efforts and cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with ISO/QMS requirements and document control processes.
• Ability to use gauging devices and inspection tools; proficient in MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Participate APQP processes to ensure successful product launches.
• Support cross-functional reviews to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Review quality documentation: PFDs, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Develop and implement inspection methods; assist in gauging process design.
• Assist in production readiness evaluations and corrective actions.
• Help maintain quality management system documentation and training.
• Assist internal and supplier audits and training in auditing methods.
• Promote open communication and teamwork on quality issues.
• Manage nonconformance handling and quarantine processes.
• Support engineering change requests to meet IATF standards.
