Job summary

BWXT is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in quality engineering and contribute to meaningful projects ensuring the safety and integrity of materials and structures. The position is on-site in Euclid, Ohio, offering collaboration with engineering teams and opportunities for professional development.

The role emphasizes data analysis, development of inspection plans, and implementation of quality procedures for manufacturing.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a BS program in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Basic understanding of materials and their behavior.
Experience using CAD software.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Engineering teams to support quality initiatives and improvement projects.
Prepare inspection plans, procedures, and reports for different projects.
Analyze test results and interpret findings.
Develop and implement quality control procedures for NDT and manufacturing processes.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot defects or anomalies.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspection activities and results.
Perform other engineering tasks as required.
