ITW in Georgia is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure automotive plastics injection molding processes meet quality standards and drive defect prevention in a unionized manufacturing environment.

The role will lead PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, APQP/PPAP submissions, and analyze scrap, cosmetic defects, and process variation while coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to improve stability and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7–9 years of automotive plastics/injection molding experience.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
• Experience collaborating across Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Suppliers.

Aufgaben

• Support plant quality systems compliant with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Lead defect prevention and resolution for injection molding, tooling, materials, and secondary operations
• Support PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, reaction plans, and process validation for molded products
• Analyze scrap, short shots, flash, warpage, burns, and cosmetic defects
• Coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers
• Lead and support APQP and PPAP submissions
• Participate in design and process FMEAs, control plans, and process flow development
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments
