Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Quality Engineer with emphasis in First Article Inspection in an aerospace manufacturing setting. The role focuses on administering quality systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP standards.

The candidate will lead audit activities, manage NCRs, review customer specifications, and maintain calibration and ITAR controls. Requires 5+ years in aerospace QA, leadership experience, and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • 3+ years proven leadership of effective teams.
  • AS9100 & NADCAP systems & audits experience.
  • Knowledge of aerospace painting and chemical processing.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and control aerospace quality systems; update procedures as needed.
  • Enforce quality policies and stay current with ISO updates.
  • Plan and perform audits, including pre-audit planning and post-audit follow-up.
  • Review and approve work plans to meet customer PO and drawings.
  • Review NCRs and coordinate with applicable business units.
  • Implement supplier/spec requirements per OEMs and revisions.
  • Create internal quality documents and NCRs per drawings.
  • Conduct gap analyses to align processes with customer requirements.
  • Create PCRs when specifications revisions impact product.
  • Support Calibration APE software and QA tooling backups.
  • Manage ITAR parts.

Aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer with emphasis in First Article Inspection.

Job Duties:

  • Administer and control aerospace quality systems - Develop and revise internal procedures when necessary
  • Ensure enforcement of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by staying informed of the latest updates and modifications related to ISO quality systems to ensure compliance.
  • Schedule and perform audit activities, to include pre-audit planning, audit execution, audit summary evaluation ,post-audit follow-up and recommendations
  • Review and approve new work planning to ensure compliance to customer PO and Customer specifications and drawings
  • Review non-conformances found during auditing; place into NCR system and distribute to applicable business units
  • Review and implement major aerospace OEM’s specifications requirements while ensuring all specifications are at current revision
  • Create/review NCR’s in accordance with drawings and specifications and internal requirements
  • Create internal quality documents
  • Gap analysis of internal process to customer requirements to ensure compliance and approvals
  • Create PCR (Planning Change Request) when specifications revision roll has product impact/No product impact
  • Perform required audits in a timely manner
  • Perform self-pre-audit checklist for NADCAP and AS9100
  • Gather the required information needed for submittal to external auditor ( e.g. NADCAP all areas require completed self-checklist, copy of internal travelers, list of machines, list QA personnel, list of operators pertinent to area being audited etc.)
  • Communicate to applicable business unit managers what is needed in order to facilitate the audits (e.g. list of what parts to be ran during the audit to be received from the business unit manager, what operators will be in audit etc.)
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Understand and help in the aid of controlling the calibration APE software and required tooling as a backup to the Quality Assistant
  • Management of ITAR parts

Requirements:

  • 5+ year’s Quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 3+ year’s proven leadership experience of running effective teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have experience in AS9100 & NADCAP systems & audits
  • Knowledge/training of aerospace painting and chemical processing
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers, height gauges, Isoscope etc.)
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, general procedures, and government regulations.

Hours: Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Compensation: $65 to $75K BOE
