Job summary

Verify Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer 1 in Fort Worth, TX for an on-going contract of 30 hrs/week at $45/hr. You will apply quality science to improve supplier performance, review quality discrepancies across processes, and ensure products meet standards including AS9100.

The role requires 3-5 years aerospace QA experience, AS9100/AS9102, first article, root cause analysis, and strong communication. Travel may be required; citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• Root cause analysis and CAPA development.
• Auditing experience (ISO 9001/AS9100).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize quality science techniques to improve supplier performance.
• Review, analyze, and report quality discrepancies across processes and systems.
• Ensure product quality meets company and regulatory standards.
• Use surveillance and auditing to identify improvement opportunities.
• Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customers, suppliers, and procurement.
• Facilitate development of supplier recovery plans.
• Monitor supplier process compliance to PO and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate to investigate root causes and corrective actions.
• Plan and facilitate cross-functional improvement activities.
• Deploy variation management tools at select suppliers to mitigate risk.
• Perform Quality System Audits and AS9102 First Article Reviews.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Position: Quality Engineer 1

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration: On-Going contract

Estimated Frequency: 30hrs per week

Compensation: $45/hr.

Position Overview:

Job Description:

• Utilize quality science techniques to effect continuous performance improvement at assigned suppliers.
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to process, assembly, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical systems.
• Ensure that performance and quality of products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
• Use surveillance and auditing techniques to identify opportunities for process and product improvement.
• Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and procurement (as appropriate) to ensure requirements / expectations are satisfied.
• Facilitate development of supplier recovery plans.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier process for compliance to purchase order and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with supplier to investigate root cause and corrective actions when process or product deficiencies are detected.
• Identify, plan, and facilitate cross-functional improvement activities.
• Deploy variation management tools and techniques at select suppliers to mitigate risk.
• Have performed Quality System Audits, AS9102 First Article Reviews.
• Computer proficiency and proficiency with MS Office products.

Additional Comments:

• Travel is required and may extend beyond the local area.
• Initial supplier assignments may change to meet customer requirements.
• Work hours are not fixed or guaranteed and may extend beyond 40 hours per week to meet customer requirements.
• Aerospace supplier experience is preferred and may be used as the primary selection criteria among equally qualified candidates.

Skills Requirement:

• Production (or Manufacturing) Quality Assurance/Control in Aerospace industry (or similar).
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Collaborate with production personnel and stakeholders.

• In process and Final Inspection.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience of Aerospace Quality requirements experience
• Previous experience with AS9100 and AS9102 (ISO 9001 is desirable but not required)
• Previous experience performing and/or evaluating First Article Inspections
• Previous experience with blueprint readingPrevious experience in Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action/Preventative Action Development
• Previous experience in auditing (any of these — ISO 9001, AS9100, Internal)
• Must be a US citizen
