Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Operations team in the United States, focusing on Tube Shop and Lunar subassembly production. You will develop and execute quality processes for the design, test, and manufacture of launch vehicles and spacecraft, driving quality across development and production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or science or relevant experience.
• 2+ years’ aerospace industry experience with at least 1 year in a quality engineer role.
• Quality assurance experience in production environment (Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Desirable: Relevant experience in AS9145 and quality systems transitions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality system processes for development and production.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance aligned with goals.
• Integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
• Facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with diverse teams and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and recommend improvements for quality and manufacturability.
• Provide quality assurance expertise to receiving, inspection, manufacturing and test.
• Participate in hardware acceptance processes and ensure adherence to acceptance processes.
• Maintain knowledge of NDE and receiving inspection methodologies.
• Monitor the metrology program to ensure precision of production equipment.
