Job summary

Power Solutions International in Beloit, WI seeks a Quality Engineer II to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance, develop QMS docs, and drive supplier quality.

You will lead corrective actions, audits, CAPA, and cross-functional improvements across Beloit and Darien facilities, mentoring staff.

Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years manufacturing quality, and 3+ years auditing; travel up to 10%; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a quality-focused role in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years auditing ISO 9001 or IATF/TS 16949; lead auditor preferred.
• Structured problem-solving tools (8D, fishbone, 5 Whys, DMAIC).
• Experience with FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, APQP, and SPC.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• MS Office proficiency; ERP and QMS software experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ CQE preferred.
• GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and metrology equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis).
• Conduct supplier audits and develop supplier improvement plans.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS documentation and document control.
• Support creation and implementation of Standard Work.
• Monitor field performance data and present trend analyses to leadership.
• Maintain KPIs such as DPPM, defects, audit findings, and supplier scores.
• Conduct internal audits and train junior engineers or technicians.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Customer Service.
• Lead FMEA and Control Plan development for new programs and design changes.
• Manage customer and supplier escalations and CAPA tracking.
