Inalfa Roof Systems Group B.V. in Acworth, GA (USA) is seeking a Quality Engineer II to help maintain product quality and process integrity across assigned programs for automotive roof systems.

You will review production lines for control plans, diagnose defects, drive corrective actions, and support customers on existing and new programs while contributing to IATF16949, safety, and continuous improvement. This role requires a bachelor degree, 2–5 years in automotive quality, some supervisory

• 2-5 years experience in automotive quality.
• 2 years minimum inspection layout experience.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
• ASQC Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review production lines to ensure proper use of control plans and process sheets.
• Review and diagnose defective material rejected during manufacturing process.
• Identify the need for corrective action.
• Provide customer support on existing programs and new programs.
• Maintain IATF16949 status and participate in continual improvement.
• Track and manage measures assigned in the plant.
• Promote safe work practices throughout the plant.
• Lead quality audits and supervise quality auditors.

Job Title: Quality Engineer II Department: Quality Reports To: Plant Quality Manager FLSA status: Exempt

SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the products assigned in order to meet customer’s needs and Inalfa’s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews production lines to assure proper use of control plans and process sheet
• Reviews and diagnosis defective material rejected during manufacturing process.
• Identify the need for corrective action.
• Provide customer support on existing programs and new programs
• Possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others to motivate and elicit work output.
• Assist in maintaining IATF16949 status.
• Track and manage measures assigned in the plant
• Practice and promote safe work practices throughout the plant.
• Promote team concepts and participate in teams.
• Understand and follow Inalfa policies and practices and any other legal requirements.
• Must be an active participant in achieving and maintaining quality goals and continuous improvement activities.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise quality auditors, carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policy and applicable laws.

IATF16949/ISO14001/ISO45001 RESPONSIBILITIES

• The IATF16949/ISO45001/ISO14001 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. Other responsibilities may be added, with or without notice in writing, at any time.
• Adhere to all IATF16949 (Quality)/ISO45001 (Health and Safety)/ISO14001 (Environmental) procedures as related to the Quality department function.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 year Bachelor Degree
• 2-5 years experience in automotive quality
• 2 years minimum inspection layout experience
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience
• ASQC Certification preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
