Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, DePuy Synthes orthopedics division, is seeking an Engineer I, Source Quality, to partner with suppliers and support new launches in Warsaw, IN. The role sits within the MedTech family focusing on quality of external manufacturers and materials.

You will lead quality initiatives, apply GMP/ISO standards, and collaborate across R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing. Travel up to 25% may be required; strong problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with flexibility to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality engineering leadership for select External Manufacturers and suppliers.
• Establishes quality expectations at the supplier and in production processes.
• Implements controls using process capability measures and SPC metrics.
• Partners with product development teams to support launches at suppliers.
• Conducts supplier visits focusing on quality improvement and compliance with GMP/ISO standards.
• Provides inspection technique support and handles non-conformances.
