Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Supplier Quality Manager to be based in Raynham, MA, overseeing external manufacturers and supplier quality systems to ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality and purchasing controls for external manufacturers.
• Drive supplier performance and compliance through qualification, metrics, risk management, audits, and quality agreements.
• Champion continuous improvement and digital transformation of supplier quality processes.
• Provide technical quality leadership for nonconformance, CAPA, change management, and process controls.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and lead a high-performing quality team through coaching and training.
• Support internal audits, supplier assessments, and regulatory inspections.

We are searching for the best talent for a Supplier Quality Manager to be located at a Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN; Palm Beach Gardens, FL or West Chester, PA.

The Supplier Quality Manager is accountable for establishing and monitoring robust quality assurance programs to ensure external manufacturers consistently meet DePuy Synthes quality, regulatory, and business requirements. This includes oversight of supplier quality systems, manufacturing process controls, product quality performance, risk management activities, and compliance with applicable global regulations and standards. The Source Quality Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, strengthens supplier capabilities, and fosters a culture of quality excellence to ensure the reliable delivery of safe, effective, and compliant products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Source Quality and Purchasing Controls for external manufacturers, ensuring supplier quality systems, process controls, and product quality requirements consistently meet DePuy Synthes, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Drive Supplier Performance and Compliance through supplier qualification, quality metrics, risk management, quality agreements, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure a compliant and reliable supply base.
• Champion Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation by simplifying, standardizing, and digitizing Supplier Quality processes, systems, and reporting to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Provide Technical Quality Leadership for supplier-related quality activities including nonconformance management, investigations, CAPA, change management, verification and validation, and manufacturing process controls.
• Partner Cross-Functionally and with External Manufacturers to resolve quality issues, mitigate supply and compliance risks, support product lifecycle activities, and achieve business objectives.
• Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team by recruiting, coaching, and developing talent, establishing effective training programs, and fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support Business and Regulatory Objectives through leadership during internal audits, supplier assessments, and regulatory inspections while ensuring financial, GMP, Health, Safety, and Environmental commitments are met

Qualifications

Education:

• University/Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Scientific or associated relevant Technical / Engineering discipline is required.
• An Advanced degree in engineering/scientific or discipline is preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

• A minimum of 6 years progressive experience in a regulated industry.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
• Previous work experience with Suppliers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business impact of compliance issues and risk management.
• Experience in leadership roles involving project management, problem solving and technical projects.
• This individual is expected to possess high performing skills in negotiating and influencing decision makers, decision making skills, communication skills, judgement, tact and leadership skills.

Preferred:

• Relevant experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in Supply Chain and/or R&D.
• Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and certification.
