Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Fontana, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with AMS 2750 and Nadcap, perform internal audits, and support heat treat operations. You will read engineering drawings, review specifications and releases, and help resolve quality issues with customers while maintaining strong relationships.

Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience; ITAR requires US person status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of three years related experience.
• U.S. work authorization required; ITAR restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits to AMS 2750 and customer heat treat specs.
• Assist Nadcap and customer heat treat audits.
• Review furnace Temperature Uniformity Survey (TUS) and System Accuracy Test (SAT).
• Quality review and release of MRO/Supplies and Furnaces to production.
• Monitor activities at Fontana facility and update procedures per Nadcap/customer requirements.
• Train and certify heat treat personnel.
• Trend furnace TUS/pyrometry performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and disposition of changes to maintenance.
