Job summary

Abbott Nutrition in Sturgis, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and sustain quality engineering methods across new product development and manufacturing. You will apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve processes and ensure compliance with FDA and GMP standards.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and microbiology teams to verify products, control CTQ parameters, and lead investigation of nonconformances while coaching junior staff to ensure robust and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2–5 years in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering
• Demonstrated use of quality tools; knowledge of FDA, GMP
• Strong project management and data analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality engineering methods for new products and manufacturing
• Lead the development and execution of process controls to meet requirements
• Coach and mentor non-exempt and entry-level staff
• Document experiments, protocols and results with reports
• Lead risk analysis and product verification activities with cross-functional teams
• Investigate, resolve and prevent quality issues and nonconformances
