Job summary

Abbott seeks a Quality Engineer at the Sturgis, MI site within Abbott Nutrition to develop and maintain quality engineering methods for new products, manufacturing, and support activities, ensuring FDA and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Demonstrated use of FDA, GMP and Quality tools/methodologies.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Advanced data analysis and report writing abilities; experience with Six Sigma/Lean.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement effective process control systems for development and manufacturing.
• Lead and mentor non-exempt and entry-level personnel.
• Develop and execute streamlined systems to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Apply systematic problem-solving to prioritize and resolve quality issues.
• Design and conduct experiments for process optimization and improvement.
• Document experiment plans, results, and reports.
