Job summary
Ford Energy in Glendale, Kentucky is hiring a Quality Engineer to help launch a Greenfield battery manufacturing site and build advanced quality systems. You will drive continuous improvement, manage SPC and PFMEA, and partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Suppliers to uphold stringent quality targets.
The role demands a hands-on, data-driven mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and readiness to work a 24/7 startup environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-3+ years of manufacturing process or quality engineering experience.
- Experience with SPC, PFMEA, GD&T, and quality systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Startup experience and lean manufacturing knowledge are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality initiatives on a Greenfield battery manufacturing site and drive continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor quality targets at workstation level and validate readiness.
- Oversee SPC activities, control charts, data collection, and GD&T to minimize variation.
- Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.
- Develop KPIs and drive corrective actions using 8D methodology across shifts.
